How do you pronounce früute and what does it mean?

früute is pronounced as "froot." It's gibberish really, but we love how it looks and sounds.

Are your tarts made daily?

Yes, all of our tarts are freshly made every single day.

Do you make your own tart dough?

Our dough is made from scratch with unbleached natural flour, sugar, butter and eggs. One crust does not fit all, so we make a variety of tart bases including pistachio, coconut, vanilla, chocolate and dacquoise.

Which tart would you recommend?

Sea Salt Caramel and Three Berries would be a safe bet, but if you want something more exciting, try Wasabi or Black Pepper. For the more traditional, try Crème Brulee.

How long will your tarts keep?

It's best to eat them right away, but leftovers can be kept chilled in their box up to 2 days.

Can I order just 1 tart?

Sure, but if you buy 4 or 8 they come in a cute box.

Can I order 6 tarts?

Yes, but we'll put them in a box that holds 8 and you may have some explaining to do.

What natural ingredients do you use?

We use natural sugar, butter, cheese, milk and cream; and our flour is natural and unbleached.

What does natural mean?

It means the product (flour, sugar) is grown without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides; as for the dairy, (milk, cream, butter, cheese, eggs) the animals are raised humanely without growth hormones or antibiotics. Studies show natural products can be more nutrient-rich.

I'm allergic to nuts, can I eat your tarts?

No, we do not recommend since our kitchen and some tarts contain nuts.

Are your tarts vegan or vegetarian?

No, our tarts contain dairy and gelatin.

I'm on a gluten-free diet, can I eat your tarts?

No, our tarts contain flour.

Are your tarts low-carb?

No, we use flour and sugar, but they are natural.

Do your tarts contain preservatives?

Absolutely not.

Can I place my order online?

Yes you can order online for pick up and delivery. Depending on quantity, we may need advance notice.

If I have a larger order, how far in advance do I need to place it?

For 32 to 48 tarts, please give us 24 hours notice. For orders over 48 tarts, we'll likely need more notice, please email events@fruute.com for more info.

Can you do special orders for wedding or other events?

Yes we're happy to accommodate special orders for any event. Please email events@fruute.com for more info.

Do you offer discounts on large orders?

Yes.

Do you provide delivery?

We offer local delivery only for tarts and we offer local and national delivery for cookies at this time. Additional charges applies.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, debit, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and most credit cards.

Do you sell gift cards?

Not at this time.

What are your hours of operation?

We are open from Tuesday - Saturday 11am - 8pm and Sundays 11am - 5pm. We are closed on Mondays.

What are your holiday hours?

We will be open Thanksgiving day from 11:00am to 3pm. We will be closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day; and open from 11:00am to 3:00pm on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. We'll remain open on all other holidays.
